Presidio School was one of three Tucson schools to be recognized as a Tucson “A” Leader by A for Arizona, an initiative led by the Arizona Chamber Foundation in partnership with the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. A for Arizona is a multi-pronged campaign aimed at ensuring every K-12 student in Arizona has access to a grade “A”-level school. On Monday, October 26th about 35 visitors toured our campus, the visitors included leaders in education, business, the legislature, as well as the media. The group of visitors spent about an hour on campus being guided by our own high school Character Council Ambassadors. Some of the highlights featured for their tour were the school’s garden and tortoise habitat, the newly opened Pre-Kindergarten, Dream Catcher Library and a representative sample of the k-12 classrooms. They were especially enamored by our Pre-K Guppies, and their excitement to show the visitors all they have been learning thus far this year. Thank you to A for Arizona for recognizing Presidio as a Tucson leader in education.
